While rehearsing Heart of Darkness, our first english-language production, Doris and I struggled for quite some time with how to flesh out the story’s „heavy,“ trying to make him neither a laughing stock character nor a caricature nor a bore.

This led not only to a plethora of minor and major script corrections. Finally we also came up with the idea to base the heavy on Robert Mitchum’s performance in Night of the Hunter.

I’m very curious how this will turn out.

Yesterday evening, Doris and Elmar focused over the scripts of „Heart of Darkness“:

That was the first rehearsal for the first solo piece from Little More Sonic, and our first english story as well.

Lessons learned: We’ll require at least five rehearsals, the text needs quite some polishing (ideally with a sturdy hammer), but we may be able to be in time for recordings during early August.

Little More Sonic nimmt wieder Fahrt auf. Ich hab gerade die Manuskripte für die nächste Episode, das Einpersonenstück >>Heart of Darkness<< vorbereitet, und am Mittwoch geht’s zum ersten Mal mit Doris in die Proben-Bütt.

Nicht nur, dass wir das erste Mal eine Prosa-Geschichte aufnehmen, es wird auch das erste Experiment in Englisch, und ich werde das erste Mal Regie bei einer unserer Storys führen.

Ich bin schonmal sehr gespannt.
